WCA is Participating in the GiveLocal757 Fundraising Drive!!

Williamsburg Christian Academy is happy to announce that it has joined over 200 non-profits who will make a huge fundraising push…IN ONE DAY!
That’s right, on May 3rd, 2016 from Midnight to Midnight, WCA will compete with charities around Hampton Roads for bonus prizes and donations, and covered regionally by WVEC TV Channel 13 and other media outlets.
Here’s the deal….on May 3rd the GiveLocal757 Campaign will open for donations. When donations to WCA are received, there are over 3 dozen incentive targets that give additional donation prizes on top of contributions. In some cases these will be random drawings, but in most cases, the charity that inspires the most unique donations between certain time periods throughout the day, highest number with a charitable category (ours is education), and many more, will get additional amounts donated to their cause from $757 to upwards of $5000! The important point to note, though, is that the success of the charitable drive and the eligibility for these prize donations is not geared at who raises the most, but rather by the number of donors who give!!
How does that work? Say if we get 200 individuals to donate $10 a piece (which is also the minimum donation amount, by the way). We would be eligible for more bonus prizes and be declared higher in the event rankings than a charity that raised a single large donation of $10,000! It’s quantity over quality!
Again the single day event is May 3rd…terrible remembering dates? No worries, you can have an automatic reminder sent to you prior to the event by email by clicking HERE. Forward that link as well to family and businesses that you know who value the importance of the Christian educational foundation we provide in the Historic Triangle and surrounding communities. Schedule the reminder and be ready to give on the event date so we can show just how strong and engaged our WCA Family is!!
There will even be prizes given up to the day of the event for social media shares, hashtags of #Givelocal757 posted to social media, and video testimonies of why you are giving local!
