Missions at WCA
If there is one activity or event that defines WCA as a school, it is our rich traditions and history in missions work.
Our students are always in the mission field, and yearly upper school school students take their time to do God's work, either in locations in need in the United States, or in many cases in impoverished countries where the Word of God is taking root.
In the Fall of 2016, we were blessed to have chart topping country western star and past WCA student Canaan Smith in town to raise money for the Missions and Scholarship fund created in his brother Nathaniel's memory, who died in a tragic car accident while Canaan was still a teen.
Listen to Canaan give his testimony as to what an impact that WCA had on him and his brother as well in the video to the right....
Mission Trip Summaries
Many students spent their Spring Breaks in far-off sunny locales, Disney World, or visiting relatives. A hearty band of our students and teachers, however, entered the missions field during much of their Spring Break on the WCA 2018 Mission Trip to West Virginia. The Mission team worked with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP).
The 2017 Mission Trip to Jamaica was our first international trip in three years and was an absolute blessing to our students. Our group visited an orphanage school in Jamaica and assisted them with several construction projects that they were taking, along with many of their older students!
