The Upper School

Celebrating Growth

The upper school program (grades 9-12) prepares students intellectually and spiritually for higher education through a challenging and rigorous program.  Students build upon the foundation established in middle school through classroom experiences that are centered on inquiry and the building of life-long learners that have the ability to question and solve complex problems.

Core subjects include English, math, science, history, foreign language, and Bible.  Numerous AP and honors courses are available at each grade level.  Expert teachers demand students think and reason, using higher order processes that help develop a thirst for learning and growth.

WCA's upper school prepares students not only intellectually to enter into our country's finest universities and colleges, but also prepares students emotionally and spiritually as well.

Welcome from our Head of Upper School

At WCA, we partner with parents to provide a Christ-centered, college preparatory experience that provides challenging academics, competitive athletics, and awe-inspiring fine arts.

Our teachers are committed to helping students succeed academically, develop their leadership skills, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

We offer a rigorous academic program with numerous honors and Advanced Placement course offerings. Within each course, we personalize learning to allow every student to develop their God given gifts and talents to become leaders who will transform the world for Jesus Christ!

Our graduates attend top colleges out-of-state as well as Virginia’s own highly acclaimed universities. This past year, our graduates were offered over two million dollars in scholarship money from both private and public universities.
We are thankful to have beautiful facilities with science labs, a dedicated media room, technology in the classrooms and extensive fields.

We invite you to visit our campus and learn more about our community, our culture, and our students!

Please contact me if you have any questions. I would love the opportunity to meet with you and share more of the wonderful things happening here at WCA!STA-Fletcher-Beth
