Come Enjoy an ‘Evening at the Improv’, Friday February 23rd @ 7PM

Soon, the WCA stage will be transformed into the iconic ‘Evening of the Improv’ event…we’re not making this stuff up. Or rather, our students WILL be making this stuff up!

The Williamsburg Christian Academy Drama Club, coached by teacher Dan Stec, will hold its first showcase on Friday, February 23rd at 7:00PM in the cafetorium, and is free! You’ll leave this event feeling connected to the personalities of each Drama Club student as they give you an unexpected performance filled with entertainment and hilarity. Think ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ meets WCA.

Improv, of course, is short for improvisation. Improvisational theatre, often called improv or impro, is the form of theatre, often comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted: created spontaneously by the performers. In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without the use of an already prepared, written script.

The bottom line: you get whatever comes off the cuff from the performers, which is usually zany and highly entertaining!

Light refreshments will also be served (don’t worry, we won’t improvise there), making this a cozy place to be in the cold of February! Don’t miss out on this inaugural event!
